Paper flower make by thick crepe paper. ( Not so beautiful if compared to those flower made from thin crepe paper.)

Colour of red wine. ><

Another one.><

A bunch of them.>< I bought this very thin crepe papers during my China trip. The shapes were cut. All I have to do is fold the shape.><

Easiest flower paper ><

Cut a simple flower to make your own homemade paper note. You can choose to make either a more complicated design or something more simple. ( I always belive that originality is the best.) After you cut out the basic flower shape, you can decorate it with your creativity, the design depend on who you intend to give the flower. Let your creativity run wild. ><

things you'll need:

  • Paper or Cardstock
  • Scrap Paper (optional)
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue (optional)
  • Glitter powder (optional)
  • Sequins (optional)
  • Unwanted buttons
  • Some ribbons
  1. Fold a piece of paper or cardstock in half to make a folding note card. Make sure you run through the fold with your finger nail or the side of a hard object, like a ruler or a pencil, to ensure a clean fold. You can make the note any size you like.
  2. Sketch a simple flower outline design on the front of the folded paper or cardstock. Sketch the design lightly with the pencil. Remember to just sketch lightly.><  (As long as the colour is dark enough to see when you are cutting it out.) You can trim out the details in this process. ( But lazy me prefer something less complicated.)
  3. Cut all the way around sketched flower pattern with the paper folded in half so you are cutting through both pieces at the same time. (Another time saving tips.><) Cut all except for one edge of a petal or side of the flower where the creased fold is. The one petal edge or side is the folding part of the note that keeps the front attached to the back. Make sure you keep one part together or you will end up with two separate pieces of paper instead of a folding note. Make sure you cut the flower inside the pencil lines. That way no pencil marks will end up on the finished flower note. Even if the pencil marks do show, just erase it using an eraser. That's why they invented the eraser right?><

  • You can always do some practice flowers on scrap paper first until you get one you like.(Practise makes perfect. ><) Then cut it out and use it as a tracing pattern to put on the note itself to trace around. You can decorate your flower notes by adding decorative items to the front, like sequins, unwanted buttons, ribbons or glitter, with glue. Let the glue dry completely before you give the note to someone else. ( You wouldn't want to give someone a messy gift won't you?><)
